The OKC Home + Outdoor Living Show isn’t only for renovation inspiration, outdoor eye candy or DIY dreams. The show is also a way to thank some of our community's hardest workers with an early shot of springtime charm.

On Friday, March 18, the last day of spring break for most Oklahoma schools, teachers are welcomed to the show with free admission. Strolling through two packed buildings at State Fair Park will be the perfect way to cap off a week of relaxation and recharging before hitting the books again.

Sunday, March 20, is a day to celebrate and honor the heroes in our community. All active and retired firemen, police and military members will get in the show for free. With a variety of home ideas, new products and inspiring features, heroes can take a break from service and focus on outdoor living fun. They can also enjoy rooting on their fellow service members during the Hero Cook-Off sponsored by the Oklahoma CattleWomen. Many of our state’s finest men and women will compete to see who will take home top prize with the most delicious beef recipe.

Besides all the action inside, people can have fun outside by taking a tour through the Custom Container Living homes, listening to live bands on the plaza and sampling trail food from Kent Rollins Red River Chuck Wagon. From kitchen and bath design to patio and deck ideas to food and music, there’s something for everyone at the OKC Home + Outdoor Living Show.
